Battle of Jiuliangcheng
The Battle of Jiuliangcheng took place from October 24 to 25, 1894 at Yalu River. This battle marked the start of Japan's invasion of China. Japan managed to build a pontoon bridge across the Yalu River without any Chinese detection. In the early morning of October 25th, 10,000 Japanese troops crossed the Yalu River and surprised the Chinese. After an hour of fighting, the Chinese started retreating. The Chinese were defeated and the battle was over.
