Battle of Yingkou
Japanese forces, led by General Nozu, reached Niuchwang and Fort Yingkou on March 4, 1895. The fighting lasted throughout the day. At night, the fighting stopped and many Chinese soldiers tried to escape into the country. On March 6, the Japanese army captured Fort Yingkou.

There was no formal surrender, but Japan was deemed to be the winner of the battle.
Effects
This battle was the last major one in China. With the death of many troops and the imprisonment of many, the army in Manchuria broke up.
